Charlie's arrival came after nine months of dedication by his mother and father turning up every month for each session. Such a beautiful image is only possible to achieve by people who act quickly once they know they are pregnant.

"My husband first saw some of Ian's work showing in the village where he works and immediately was drawn to it.  The piece of work depicted a pregnant lady and as we had recently learned we were expecting a baby we knew we wanted to capture this special time.   We spoke to Ian who was very  easy to get along with, flexible yet  professional in his advice and emphasized the commitment required to produce such a piece of work. 

Each session required me to be naked for the photos and initially I was very nervous as I had never done anything like this before!  Ian was very easy going and my husband was there and soon we were laughing and joking whilst the photos were being taken.  Ian was very good at listening to us and trying things although he knew as the professional what would and wouldn't work.  As each month went by I felt more at ease and Ian became like an 'old friend' by the end of nine months! 

The last sesion was taken with our new arrival "Charlie" which was extremely amusing and I doubt Ian's  recovered from the explosion from charlie mid-photo!  We have seen the finished piece and are very pleased with it. It is a special piece of work and we are looking forward to putting it up in our home."
