At the end of 2011 I found myself feeling a little stuck. I wanted things to change but I wasn't sure how to effect that change.
I had a lovely shoot with Ian last month at a beautiful house in the Peak District. It was bodypainting shoot for his book Liberated Ladies, for which we enlisted the help of a professional painter and combined this with my own paint work.
I had the opportunity to model in a variety of different styles with several photographers over the course of the day, as Ian made sure everyone had a chance to make the most of all the different locations and work with me one-on-one.
My husband first saw some of Ian's work showing in the village where he works and immediately was drawn to it. The piece of work depicted a pregnant lady and as we had recently learned we were expecting a baby we knew we wanted to capture this special time.
Had a most enjoyable full day shoot with Ian shooting at my home for his Liberated Ladies project - a sort of portrait in situ concept, showing models relaxed in their own environs and capturing their essence both style and character wise. In addition to being highly personable, professional and prepared - Ian IMHO takes outstanding photos.
Martin loved it. He was totally surprised. I can't even describe it, it was awesome!! I think he watched it 6 or 7 times in a row :-)
I worked with Ian on Sunday and was absolutely delighted by well we got on and by the high quality of his images, which I look forward to seeing!
Such an amazing photographer! ! I did something out of my comfort zone and he made me feel such at ease I didn't bat an eyelid of being nervous! !
Ian was my first official shoot I have had. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The weather was perfect and the location was beautiful. Ian sent some of the results through yesterday and I love them.
